Proprietor- Mike Williams established Hirwuan Travel in 1986 and in 1995 moved to the current location opposite the car park in the centre of the village. In addition to being agents for many UK coach holiday companies, Mike specialises in running coach trips to Ireland and unlike most company bosses, he really works at the business and acts as the guide on most of his excursions.

Ireland tours.

Hirwaun Travel's latest brochure contains old favourites to Killarney, Galway, Waterford and Westport. One of the new tours for 2008 visits Trim in Co. Meath. The brand new Castle Hotel stands next to Trim Castle, the scene of most of the filming of 'Braveheart'.
All hotels, including overnight stops, offer en suite bedrooms, a lift to all floors and entertainment most nights. All are at least 3 star standard and dinner and breakfast are included throughout each tour.

Coach transport is of executive standard, equipped with toilets, reclining seats, video with stereo system and seat belts. Coaches are supplied by Nelsons Coaches, a long established local company based in Glyneath.

With over forty years experience of traveling in Ireland, it is fair to say that Mike certainly knows his way around. Many of his clients say that his presence on the trip is the main reason why they re-book their holidays with Hirwaun Travel.
Although many of his customers have traveled with him in the past, Mike says that there are no strangers on on his tours, only friends you have yet to meet.
